   Jared Scott Axen was born July 18, 1986 to parents, John and Beverly Axen. Growing up in Santa Clarita, California, he was home schooled from kindergarten through high school and at the age of 15 he started taking college courses at College of the Canyons full time. With music running in his extended family, Jared double-majored in music with an emphasis in vocal performance, and in nursing. During this time he also started vocal training under Dr. Kimberlyn Jones at The Master’s College. Throughout his teenage years he was given numerous opportunities to strengthen his preforming skills both on the radio and on television through the sponsorship provided by Young At Art, a local youth art outreach company. Jared’s parents probably had the most influence though on how his singing progressed as they always encouraged him to try his best at whatever he did. At 16, Jared made his international debut touring in Wales and in London with The Welsh Choir of Southern California. Working with them both as a choir member and as a solo artist, he continue with the Welsh Choir throughout the following year throughout Southern California. Jared continued on to train with his mentor and close friend, the world-renowned opera composer Daniel Catán, preforming excerpts from his opera “Florencia en el Amazonas”.   At 18, he competed as a classical vocalist in the Los Angeles Spotlight Awards at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, making it as far as the semifinals. There, he was given the opportunity to work with world-renowned singers and vocal coaches including David Romano who worked alongside legends such as Luciano Pavarotti.  After graduating with both music and nursing degrees, Jared started in 2009 as Registered Nurse at his local hospital in Santa Clarita, California. “After all my success as a performer and musician, I just wanted to give something back to my community”.  Being a musician, he was always singing on the hospital units as he worked, gaining him the accolade from his patients, “The Singing Nurse”.  Word of  this “Singing Nurse” crooning old love songs and hymns for his patients soon reached numerous news teams both domestically and abroad. His singing and his story has been featured on CBS, NBC, CNN, numerous radio stations both domestic and foreign, and GMA Live of Good Morning America. In 2012, Jay Leno featured clips of Jared singing to patients as part of a skit on The Tonight Show. In 2013 he was featured as a guest on the CBS hit show, “The Doctors”, where he received “The Nurse Of The Year” award for providing music therapy. Features of Jared’s success continued to grow, gaining him international recognition. He was even a guest with Samantha Cowen on Talk Radio 702, the vary popular radio station based out of Johannesburg, South Africa. Jared’s covers and original works have helped amass an international following with millions of views and shares. He loves his fans and attempts every week to answer fan-mail and messages although he isn't usually able to get to all of them. In May of 2015, Jared was signed for a two year record deal with RadicLea Records. He released one original single, “I Love You More” with the label.

   In 2017, he completed his contract with RadicLea Records. Currently, he is working on his his first of three EPs. The first two singles of his first EP are set to release at the beginning of 2018.  

   He gives credit and thanks to God, his family, friends, and fans for all of his success.
